CALIROOTS IS CELEBRATING 2O YEARS THIS YEAR.

In 2003 the first Caliroots store opened on a backstreet of downtown Stockholm. It was the brainchild of Andreas Koschnike that had worked in sales in Northern Europe with streetwear brands from California such as XLARGE, FRESHJIVE and STUSSY.

The store had a lot of focus on Californian brands, but also other brands from all over the world that would fit the vibe. The store was one of the first to not be a “skate”, “urban” or “fashion” store but mixing all things cool, not limiting itself to only clothing and shoes but also books, designer toys and art.

In the basement there was a gallery for street art exhibiting both locally and international names like PARRA.

Soon the store outgrew itself, as sneaker culture got bigger, and a dedicated sneaker store called SFD opened in that gallery space, later relocating to around the corner with its own space. A few years later the premium menswear store named “C-Store” opened in the same area. Caliroots became 3 niched stores in one covering all things cool and nice within Streetwear, Sneakers and Premium menswear.

Online the store has evolved over the years becoming an international platform reaching a global community within the culture of streetwear. Here are some pictures we found from the golden Blog years!

Throughout 2023 we will of course release some special projects that we have been working on together with friends, family and brands.

We will also do some deeper interviews and check backs with profiles and friends and fam of Caliroots from the last two decades.

And of course there will be a party or two..We started the celebrations with a boat party last week! EL NENE, ZEZE and Louise Wennberg bringing the vibes and AFASI performing his latest released songs.

It was for sure the only way to start the celebration and summer!
