One of the fits we did together with tattoo artist Anton Näsström Suarez(@tattoosbyanton) and photographer Maja Brand we shot in his studio @studio75stockholm that he has together with @allegratattoo on Kammakargatan 47 in central Stockholm.
The fit focuses on our ESSENTIAL brands; the Knitted Sweater Vest from TAIKAN with a cream t-shirt underneath, matched with FORÉT Sienna Denim Pants in a raw classic blue denim.
Of course we had to go with the EAST PACIFIC TRADE Fat Tongue in Off White, giving the right 90’s vibe.
With a classic NORSE PROJECTS Beanie and the FORÉT Sizzle Jacket you’re done!In connection to the shoot we of course wanted to talk more to Anton to hear about his background and the newly opened tattoo shop.
Give us the background story, who are you?
I am a spirit of the fusion of diverse cultures. I was born in the vibrant land of Colombia, but my mom wasn’t able to take care of me so she left me for adoption.
But the hardest moments for someone might be the blessing for someone else.
I was embraced by the loving arms of my adoptive family. Now, at the age of 31, I stand as a testament to the power of passion, determination and love.
My journey has not been straight and it has been many moments of doubt and frustration but it all has guided me to open doors of my very own atelier that I blessed to share with my mentor and friend @allegratattoo_
We have created a sanctuary where artistry and innovation intertwine. Guided by the wisdom and expertise of my mentor, I have had an beautiful path of self-discovery and artistic expression.
With every stroke of the brush, every stroke of the needle, and every whisper of inspiration, I strive to create a world that captivates the senses and ignites the imagination.
Our atelier is for us a haven where dreams take shape, where colors dance and textures come alive.
Tell us about your newly opened studio and future plans?
We are incredibly excited about having our own space, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we have accomplished this year. Our main focus moving forward is to continue building @studio75stockholm together.
Personally, I’m dedicating myself to painting every day, constantly honing my skills and exploring new artistic ideas. My ultimate goal is to have an exhibition someday where I can showcase my artwork and connect with others who appreciate the beauty of self-expression through art.In addition to painting, I am also working on something very special – my first jewelry collection. Sustainability is important to me, so I’m thrilled to share that everything in the collection will be made from recycled silver.
I’m putting my heart and creativity into this project, and I hope to have the collection ready for release next year.
Overall, our studio is a place of passion, creativity, and growth. We are excited to continue building on our achievements and creating art that speaks to people’s hearts.
Do you have any favorite motives to tattoo? Any favorite pieces so far?
When it comes to tattooing, I enjoy working with classic motifs such as women, animals, and flowers. However, if I had to choose a current favorite, I am particularly drawn to studying the anatomy of dragons and exploring larger-scale projects.Dragons offer a fascinating blend of mythical and anatomical elements, allowing for a great deal of creativity and artistic expression. I find their intricate details and symbolism to be both challenging and rewarding to work with. As I continue to delve deeper into understanding the anatomy of dragons, I am excited to take on more ambitious projects that showcase the beauty and power of these legendary
While I appreciate and enjoy working on various tattoo designs, my current focus on dragons has been particularly inspiring for me. Each new piece I create allows me to push my artistic boundaries and explore the depths of these captivating motifs.
You don’t only express yourself through tattoos, we also know you have a big interest in clothing. Has it always been an interest of yours?
Yes, clothing has always been an interest of mine. From a young age, I have had a fondness for dressing well, although my definition of “dressing well” differs from the traditional suit and tie. For me, clothing is another way to express myself and reflect my emotions on any given day. Lately, I have been gravitating towards comfortable outfits that align with my personal style.
Where should people best contact you to book a slot for their next tattoo?
There are two ways to book an appointment with me, the easier way is to send me an email to tattoosba@gmail.com including a short explanation of what you want or the old school way, you can always pop by our studio to check out new stuff, have a coffee and book your appointment in person.
