Needles is the brainchild of Nepenthes director Keizo Shimizu. Having been in the business since 1988, Mr Shimizu has garnered a deep understanding of fashion, which has led to the creation of such iconic brands as both Needles and Engineered Garments, as well as South2West8 and more recently, AIE. Needles was started in 1997, and the designs combine both Japanese and American influences with Mr Shimizu's personal taste for 60's and 70's style.
